MEMBERSHIP: 1,000 coaches annually
DUES: $40.00 per year -- due by March 15
GOVERNING BODY: Twelve member Board of Directors and Executive Board
OFFICIAL ORGANIZATIONAL FUNCTIONS / EVENTS:
A. Annual Meeting and State Clinic: Held each February at a site to be determined by the Board of Directors.
B. Board Meetings: Four times per year, including two meetings at the State Clinic, one in June at the All-Pennsylvania Series, and one in October.
C. Newsletters: Four times per year.
D. All-Pennsylvania Series: Held one week after the State Tournament in June. Series honors 80 graduating seniors and 12 coaches in an 8 game format. Events take place at a site to be determined by the Board of Directors.
E. State Coaches Poll: Teams are rated five times per spring. There are 40 voting coaches in each of the four divisions. Poll champions are recognized at the State Clinic.
F. All-State Coaches Poll Team: Same 40 coaches select an all-state team by division. Each division chooses an MVP and a Coach of the Year. They are recognized by the wire services and are awarded a certificate.
G. Hall-of-Fame: The HOF induction is the highlight of the coaches banquet at the State Clinic. Inductees are chosen the previous October by the Board of Directors.
H. Academic All-Pennsylvania: Selected annually and awarded certificates.
I. Service and Victory Awards Service awards for coaches begin in the 15th year of membership and are awarded every 5 years thereafter. Victory awards begin at 100 victories and are awarded for every 100 victories thereafter. Certificates are presented at the State Clinic.
